The primary subject of my paintings is the landscape with a deep interest in the language of abstraction. I’m fortunate to live in a beautiful place with breathtaking views of the Sandia Mountains. The ever-changing colors of the sky and the beauty of the wild, raw New Mexico landscape are such powerful visual stimulation that can’t help but find their way onto my canvases.
I explore color, shapes, texture, composition and mark making in order to paint my imaginative landscapes creating alternate and unlimited possibilities to the reality.
My process is usually built on intuition guided by bold colors and imagination. When painting, I feel driven, unafraid of challenges and willing to take risks. I hope that the viewers will find themselves intrigued by my paintings and immersed within the landscape with a sense of curiosity, wonder, and discovery.
